Introduction

LocalLayer LLC ("LocalLayer," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with when you visit our website (www.locallayer.ai) or use the AI Tools Assessment. Please read it carefully. If you do not agree with it, please do not use our services.

1. Information We Collect

• Booking details: when you book an assessment through Calendly, we collect your name, email, and the answers you give in the booking form, such as your business and website.
• Discovery call recording and transcript: we record and transcribe your 30-minute call so we can prepare your report.
• Business information you share: whatever you tell us about your business, workflows, and tools during the call or by email.
• Payment information: processed through Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
• Messages: the content of emails and texts you send us, and your phone number if you text us or give it to us.
• Website data: we may use basic analytics and cookies (such as pages visited and general location) to keep the site working and understand traffic.

SMS: if you consent to texts, we use your mobile number only to send the messages you asked for. We do not sell or share your number for anyone else's marketing, and mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties. You can opt out any time by replying STOP.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To run the assessment: schedule, record, and hold your discovery and review calls.
• To prepare your report: analyze your call and business information (see Section 3).
• To serve you: deliver your report, answer questions, and provide support.
• To operate: process your payment and keep normal business and tax records.
• To comply: meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Recording & AI Processing

To create your report, we process your call transcript and the business information you share using AI tools, including large language models such as Anthropic's Claude, together with a third-party notetaking and transcription service. Kevin personally reviews every report before it reaches you. We use these providers to deliver your report. We do not sell your data, and we do not authorize these providers to use your business information to train their models.

4. Who We Share It With

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the assessment, under agreements that limit them to that purpose:

• Calendly — scheduling.
• Zoom — video calls.
• A notetaking and transcription service — recording and transcribing your call.
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI analysis to prepare your report.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Vercel — website hosting.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

5. Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit, limited access to your information, and PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.

6. How Long We Keep It

• Call recordings and transcripts: kept only as long as needed to prepare and support your report, and deleted within 90 days of delivering it, unless you ask us to keep them or the law requires otherwise.
• Booking, report, and payment records: kept for the length of our relationship plus up to 3 years for legal and tax purposes.
• Emails and texts: kept for the length of our relationship and a reasonable period afterward.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to records we are required to keep by law.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Delete your personal information, subject to records we must keep by law.
• Opt out of marketing messages.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you additional rights:

• Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share.
• Right to delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to opt out of the "sale" of your personal information. LocalLayer does not sell personal information.
• Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
• Authorized agent: you may designate an agent to submit requests for you.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe we have, please contact us at kevin@locallayer.ai and we will delete it promptly.

10. Third-Party Links

Our website and reports may reference third-party websites and tools that we do not operate. This policy does not cover them, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies before sharing your information with them.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date. Continuing to use our services after that means you accept the update.
